Cheesecloth, also know as muslin in the UK, is a loose-woven gauze-like cotton cloth, typically available in a range of different "grades" from #10 - 90. The grade numbers are not indicative of the quality of the fabric, but instead refer to the thread count of the material. The higher the grade number, the higher the thread count and so, the smaller the holes.
Cheesecloth is ideal for the following applications: (Grades #90, 80): cheesemaking, polishing, apparel; (Grades #40, 50, 60): straining foods, wine filtering; (Grades #10, 20): make great halloween ghosts
Please note: We cut each order from a roll. Purchases of more than one unit length will be cut as a continuous piece up to the roll length indicated. For example, if you add 40 yards to your basket and the roll length is 30 yards, you will receive one 30 yard roll and one 10 yard piece when your order arrives.
