I met a wonderful lady called Devon from the Calgary Humane Society the other day. Devon single-handedly sews cat beds for the feline residents of the shelter. Over a year, she reckons she makes up to 100 beds and each bed takes 1lb of stuffing - that's a lot of stuffing!
If you'd like to help Devon make these beds or would like to make a donation of some of our brand new stuffing, please get in touch via our contact form and we'll put you in touch with the right people.
About the Society
From their earliest beginning in 1922, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains their central priority.
Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters more than 5,000 homeless animals each year. An open admission shelter, at Calgary Humane Society, every single healthy and adoptable animal is able to stay until they are adopted.
