KAM DK-93 Table Press

Our KAM DK-93 Table Press is a workhorse in the workroom, and with a longer handle and greater throat space, installing hardware will be a breeze over using hand pliers. You'll be setting snaps, grommets or rivets in a jiffy, just to name but a few things you can do with this super versatile piece of kit.

The default for this listing is set to Table Press Only (assembly required). You need a die set to be able to use this machine. You can add a single standard die set with our Press & Die Combo package in this listing for an additional $20 + tax (usually $35 + tax). If you require further dies sets in addition to the one included with this listing, head here. Choose the die set(s) to match the hardware you want to use and you're away.

All die sets for the KAM DK-93 press are the screw-in type and we carry two styles:

• DK-93 Die Sets - mainly 3rd party die sets made just to fit the DK-93 & similar table presses (19mm base hole / 8mm upper screw thread). No adapter required.
• ZYT Die Sets - smaller, these were designed originally for the ZYT Hand Pliers and ZYT Mini Press / Standup Pliers. They only work with the KAM DK-93 with the use of an additional adapter in the base. If you choose any die set with ZYT in its title from the dropdown list, make sure you also add on an adapter or your ZYT die sets won't work with the press.

Which die set do I need?

This depends on which type & size of hardware you are looking to set - for most hardware you'll need a different die set for each size.

Tips for choosing die sets:

Tip 1: For grommets, you will need a corresponding sized hole punch to your grommet die, or a maximum of 1mm smaller (non-rigid projects). Your punch can be a die set, hand & hammer punch, plier punch or similar.

Tip 2: For plastic snaps, you may be able to just push the cap posts through thinner fabrics. For more dense materials, you may find an awl or small hole punch (1.5 - 2mm) useful.

Tip 3: For the posts of rivets (double cap, single cap, magnetic snaps), fashion snaps and utility snaps, you will need to make a hole of about 2.5mm. You can do this with either a 2.5mm hole punch (2mm works also), a ZYT awl die or a tapered hand awl.

Tip 4: For Double Cap Rivets, you may use a die set 1-2mm larger than your rivet cap size to successfully set them. E.g. you can set 8mm, 9mm & 10mm DCR with a 10mm die set. Larger rivets cannot be set with a smaller die set.

Tip 5: For Magnetic Rivet Snaps, you may use an 18mm die set to successfully set 14mm snaps.

Assembly

Your table press will be delivered with the lever arm unattached. When it arrives, the leaver is easily attached by inserting the accompanying bolt through the press body and lever. No tools required.

We test all of our die sets with our hardware before they are shipped to make sure they work well together. We will not accept returns of die sets for not setting hardware purchased elsewhere correctly.
